University of Hull: Open Day, Saturday 19 November

The University of Hull invites prospective students to find out what it will be like to study in the UK City of Culture.

The University will welcome visitors to its Open Day on Saturday November 19, the final open day of this year.

Visitors will be able to meet staff and students and tour campus, including the newly-refurbished Middleton Hall, which will host many of the events for the City of Culture.
The Hall has undergone a £9.5 million transformation into a world-class cultural venue and includes a world-class 400-seater concert hall. With industry-standard recording studios and a cutting-edge TV filming and editing suite, the hall also now offers students some of the finest music facilities available.

Please visit www.hull.ac.uk/openday to book for the open day. The first presentation takes place at 9.15am.

The University is a principal partner of Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and is playing an active role in producing and hosting some of the year’s spectacular cultural events. Key highlights of the Hull 2017 programme to be held at the Hall include a film retrospective of Anthony Minghella – Oscar-winning director of the English Patient and alumnus and former lecturer at the University. ‘Telling Tales’ will see Four Weddings and a Funeral actor Simon Callow narrate a family friendly programme of classical music.
