Mackenzie Spencer, the Sheffield based corporate finance firm, has recently played a pivotal role in securing £8.5m of funding to assist in the purchase of an historic Scottish hotel and to refinance a portfolio of commercial properties.
The company worked with the newly established partnership, Dunkeld House Hotel LLP, to help complete the acquisition of Dunkeld House from the Hilton Group in May 2016. The new owners are set to invest a significant sum in a full refurbishment program over the next 12 months.
In addition, Mackenzie Spencer has also worked with a commercial property client to secure new facilities to support the existing portfolio and further investment.
Chris Sellars, MD of Mackenzie Spencer, said:
Chris Spencer and I work with a broad range of funders covering the full spectrum. These two deals were supported by a venture capital trust and specialist real estate funder. We feel our network of funding relationships can help unlock sometimes challenging transactions.
Mackenzie Spencer works with a whole portfolio of funders to secure finance. The company also offers a range of services from mentoring business owners and preparing businesses for sale to advising MBO teams and fund raising.
