The Bradbury Foundation is delighted to announce that £7,000 has been raised to help fund more of the vital community projects they are proud to support across the Humber & East Riding of Yorkshire region. The funds were generated through a charity golf day organised by regional chartered accountants Forrester Boyd at the Grimsby Golf Club. Despite torrential rain cutting play short, the generosity of players, sponsors and supporters provided a significant boost that will make a real difference to communities on both sides of the Humber.

Since its launch in September last year, The Bradbury Foundation has already supported seven projects across Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire. Each project has received a grant of £1,000, providing valuable support for charitable projects across the region.

“The £7,000 raised will enable us to support many more projects within the communities we already support, ensuring funding reaches the heart of where it is needed most.” said Carrie Jensen, trustee at The Bradbury Foundation.

The charity golf day saw over 110 people take part, with businesses from across the area stepping up to show their support. Managing Partner at Forrester Boyd, Kevin Hopper said, “Now in its third year, the support that we receive for the golf day is invaluable. Our gratitude must go to every participant, sponsor and donor who contributed and helped us to raise such an amazing total.”

Even though rain halted play, it did not dampen the high spirits of players. Scores were marked up pro rata with Kingsbridge Corporate Solutions taking home the winners’ trophy.

Forrester Boyd hosts a number of key events throughout the year to raise funds for the Bradbury Foundation making it possible for Foundation to continue its mission of empowering local groups and charities to support and enrich the communities they support. Further grants of up to £1,000 are available for charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations across Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire with applications open for the next round of funding.
