Leading North Yorkshire chartered accountancy practice Ashby Berry Coulsons has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of four new directors.

Tim Boorer, Aimee Hickey, Anna Wiffen and Anne Mead have all been promoted to the post from within in the practice, which is headquartered in Belgrave Crescent, Scarborough, and also has offices in Wheelgate, Malton, and Bondgate, Helmsley.

Tim’s appointment comes after a 17-year stint at the company, having joined Ashby Berry & Co – a predecessor to the present company – in 2001.

A member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, Tim will continue his work with self- employed clients and companies, advising on practical issues such as taxation, VAT and accounting and IT systems.

Aimee is a chartered certified accountant who joined the company in 2013 after training and qualifying in Scarborough.

She specialises in company accounts, personal client portfolios and tax work and advice.

She is joined in this role by fellow chartered certified accountant Anna, who first worked at Coulsons between 2007 and 2011.

Anna then returned to work at the newly merged company, Ashby Berry Coulsons, in September 2014.

Chartered accountant Anne joined Coulsons in 2001, specialising in working with charities, not-for-profit organisations and in company audits.

Her significant technical expertise will also ensure that reporting requirements are fully met.

Graeme Hay and Tim Jones, current and continuing directors of Ashby Berry Coulsons, congratulated the four individuals on their respective appointments.
