After welcoming a number of national brands to Padley’s Phase 1 development in Lincoln, a planning application is now being submitted for Phase 2 of Bishops Trade Park.
The second phase will expand the high profile development to over 66,000 sq ft, bringing new businesses and more than 200 jobs to the city.
Having already attracted the likes of Toolstation, Screwfix, Kent Blaxill, Easy Bathrooms, Pochin, Sota Living and Flooring Superstore to the Park, commercial property agents Banks Long & Co and joint agent Shield Commercial Estates will be working alongside Lincolnshire developer Padley to bring more national brands and jobs to the area.
Bishops Trade Park, Lincoln, offers an array of new trade and industrial units. Following the successful completion of Phase 1 started in 2019, with all units now occupied and tenants trading very well, Phase 2 will introduce nine new units ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 square feet.
“We have been working alongside Padley and Shield Commercial Estates for several years to formulate the masterplan for the scheme and bring new, exciting, popular brands to Lincoln,” says William Wall, Banks Long & Co-Director.
“The Phase 1 units were let very quickly, and we’ve already seen a lot of interest in Phase 2, on the back of the increased allure of the North Lincoln area due to the recently opened eastern bypass. It’s fantastic to see Padley’s confidence in the city’s rising economy being rewarded with continued interest from new national brands.”
Phase 2 is set for completion December 2021, and each available space in the new, additional 43,000 sq ft will shortly be available to let, and can be built to the individual occupant’s specifications.
This announcement comes following news that the 2 acre Phase 3 plot is under offer To Let to another national brand.
“We always knew there would be a strong interest in this development, and it’s amazing to watch the hard work of all of those involved come to fruition,” adds Padley Commercial Manager Richard Padley.
Michael Shield of Shield Commercial Estates says: “We’re delighted to be involved in this exciting project. Given its excellent location and the opportunities Bishops Trade Park presents, it’s no surprise that interest is high and getting even better.”
