Make 2020 a year that your business takes the leap to become more sustainable!

Running a business can be costly and can get out of control especially when the dreaded bills come through the door every month. Energy is one of the main culprits that cause an increase in cost especially in the winter months when heating is cranked up and the use of lights is needed greater!

But a council led programme could have the solutions for you! Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire is helping businesses to cut energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint.

This January why not kick off the New Year and attend an energy saving workshop, led by world renowned leading experts in energy and resource efficiency, it will equip you with the latest information on how to make your business ‘energy smart’.

The workshops will cover a wide range of topics from LED lights, Solar PV, Heat pumps and much more.

Business will not only gain invaluable expert knowledge from the workshop, but eligible businesses can claim a £500 voucher to go towards an energy saving product of their choice.

Helen Norris, Programme Manager for Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire, said that:

“The new year is a great time to start thinking about a plan on how your business can reduce its energy costs. In the current economic climate businesses need to be smarter in how they can save money”

“Our programme can help businesses to invest in energy saving technologies that will have a long turn benefit and a return on investment. We have already seen business save thousands of pounds and want other businesses to be able to do the same. Our programme offer a range of support from grants and advice to equip businesses with everything they will need to make their business more sustainable”

For larger energy saving projects, Smart Energy also offer grants to cover up to 38% of the cost for larger businesses; depending on what the business would like to implement.

The programme offers a wide range of support from grants, free onsite audits and energy saving reports, expert advice and much more.

Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire is a £9.2m project that has been partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund to help support business to save energy.

The workshops will be held on:

15th January at the Europarc Innovation Centre, Grimsby, 8.00am- 16.00pm.

16th January at the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Lincoln, 8.00am-16.00pm.

In order to be eligible for the workshop you must be a small to medium businesses located in the Greater Lincolnshire area.
