Loadhog Responds To International Growth With A French Base

Loadhog makes its mark as Loadhog Sarl in France.

Sheffield-based reusable packaging innovator, Loadhog has created its first subsidiary in France

This important move became necessary in support of the steady international growth Loadhog has achieved over the last three years.

Loadhog Sarl has been established in the city of Obernai which is close to Strasbourg.

This employee-owned company, Loadhog Sarl not only increases Loadhog’s warehousing space outside the UK but also production capacity, with a new assembly area incorporated, enabling the completion of its flagship products.

Michel Barda, director of the new facility, is accompanied by eight employees who are helping to set up the new structure and further improve Loadhog’s ability to serve international customers.

Michel commented: “Establishing Loadhog Sari is a milestone investment for the company and it is one which all employee-owners can get excited about.

“We have filled new positions in operations, accounting and administration, ensuring that the structure is capable of coping with forecasted growth.”

The 1,000m² building also houses office space, with an attached showroom in addition to a maintenance workshop for servicing products such as the Loadhog Pally and the Pallet Lid.

Loadhog Sarl will be able to provide a significantly improved service for many Europe-based retail, manufacturing, postal and automotive customers which before had to go through the UK headquarters to service their returnable packaging products.

The new investments have been facilitated by increased demand for sustainable packaging within the logistics sector with more and more companies asking for packaging solutions to replace outdated consumable alternatives. In response Loadhog has also increased its capacities in various ways. At its Sheffield headquarters two new injection moulding machines have recently been installed.
