Celebrating accomplishment in personal safety

commerce and industry place holder

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust, in partnership with Yorkshire-based safety experts Peoplesafe, are calling for nominations from Yorkshire for the National Personal Safety Awards 2016.

These awards recognise people or groups who have promoted personal safety in an exceptional way.

Rachel Griffin, Director of the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, said:

The awards are a fantastic way to highlight good practice across all sectors and to recognise the hard work of various individuals and agencies that promote and ensure personal safety. We have always been inspired by the breadth and depth of the different projects nominated for awards, all of which are making communities and workplaces safer places.

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on 11 February 2016. Awards will be given in nine categories this year, including two new awards: the Peoplesafe Personal Safety Champion Award and the Safer Campus Campaign Award. A full list and a nomination form are available on the Trust’s website.

Peoplesafe sponsor this year’s awards. Ian Johannessen, Managing Director, said:

e are delighted to be involved with these awards and to be extending our collaboration with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, who are synonymous with campaigns for personal safety. At Peoplesafe, like the Trust, the safety of individuals is at the very heart of everything we do. So the opportunity to sponsor these awards is warmly welcomed.

The awards will be presented in London on 17 March 2016.

Forms can be downloaded from from 14 January.
