Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is highlighting the risk posed to the region’s property sector by unexploited development opportunities.

The firm is inviting local landlords and industry specialists to a free breakfast seminar focusing on the impact potential development could have on their portfolios.

Held at Taylor&Emmet’s Arundel Gate headquarters on Thursday (September 24), the workshop will be hosted by its expert social housing solicitors, with help from property search company, TM Group. They will introduce delegates to DevAssist reports, which expose any potential threat or opportunity from development and identify existing planning applications that may affect an area.

Jaqui Dyer, Taylor&Emmet’s head of social housing, said:

Currently, 80% of urban buildings have at least one unexploited development opportunity within 75 metres. We want the sector to be aware of what is, or could be happening, next to properties they are purchasing by offering insight into DevAssist and the importance of this unique search tool.

Taylor&Emmet’s seminar will run from 8.30am to 10.45am and will include an opportunity for delegates to network and question the speakers.
