New stops to be added on the Europarc to support those accessing work on the growing business park

commerce and industry place holder backup

Two new bus stops will be built at the borough’s busy Europarc Business Park later this month.

The new stops will support local people who travel to work on public transport, improve access to and from the growing business estate and the recently developed pub and restaurant.

Work starts on 17 August 2015 to install the new bus stops and will take about three weeks to complete.

During the works one lane will be closed on the Europarc road entrance to the business park and one lane will be narrowed on Genesis Way.

Also the road will be closed on Genesis Way, between Europarc and Pegasus Way, with access maintained via Lakeside for one day, week starting 31 August. The day and date is yet to be confirmed but advance road closure signs will be displayed.

The bus route will also be diverted and again advanced warning notices will be displayed on the buses and bus stops affected by the road closure.

Cllr David Watson, portfolio holder for environment and housing at North East Lincolnshire Council, said:

We have worked closely with Stagecoach to make provision to install two new bus stops on the Europarc, one of our key employment zones in the borough.

Good quality public transport is vital to the area’s economy, helping residents to access our leisure, retail and employment facilities in the borough.
