Law firm Walker Morris has announced the promotion of four directors and seven associates across the firm. The appointments underline the Firm’s commitment to investing in high quality, specialist lawyers and reinforce its senior level employees.
The four director promotions comprise:
- Catherine Raftery – Finance Commercial Group
- Victoria Patterson – Finance Commercial Group
- Graham Mackenzie – Corporate Group
- Tamsin Tinkler – Pension Team.
There are two promotions within the Firm’s Finance Commercial Group. Catherine Raftery’s recent work includes advising on the financing of the UK’s first combined cooling, heat and power plant at a data centre of an international bank which had backing from the Green Investment Bank. Victoria Patterson specialises in restructuring and insolvency work and was recently heavily involved in advising a bank on its lending to a property development company in a finically distressed situation.
Graham Mackenzie has become a recognised figure within the corporate finance community, having advised on the recent MBO of High Street TV, the acquisition of Eddisons and three transactions for Renew Holdings plc.
Tamsin Tinkler was ranked as an ‘associate to watch’ by Chambers & Partners in 2015 in recognition of her growing reputation within the pensions industry. She specialises in complex pensions work advising on all types of scheme, from Small Self Administered Schemes to large occupational pension schemes with asset values in excess of £800 million.
Seven associates were also promoted including:

- Suzanne Treen – Employment
- Joanna Ellis – Real Estate and Banking Litigation
