Diony is in the process of recruiting into five key roles, with managing director Alistair O’Sullivan eager to build on a year of significant client wins and top-level appointments.
He said: “The last 12 months have been a huge chapter for Diony. We’ve achieved record growth, with our biggest national and international wins, and we’ve also got a much stronger team.
“This has come on the back of our management buy-out restoring our founding ownership at the beginning of 2026, and the major investment will continue. We will ensure we are ready for where our industry is heading and we have our value in the right place as search, discovery and consumer behaviours change.”
Alistair launched Diony in 2016 and moved to offices in the Old Town of Hull before relocating in 2022 to WORX, a former newspaper print centre which has been transformed into a thriving hub for local businesses.
Diony’s expansion to an office at the Department complex in Leeds is designed to help the business improve its service to existing clients, attract new customers and tap into a broader talent pool.

Working alongside Alistair in driving the growth is Laura Hustwit, who joined from industry leaders Journey Further as operations director earlier this year. Laura is leading the Diony team in looking beyond delivery of services and towards strengthening a new approach to partnerships which has already brought significant results.
Laura said: “Expanding to Leeds is a real opportunity for us to put Diony at the heart of one of the UK’s strongest creative and digital communities.
“We’re proud of our roots in Hull, but we also want to rise to the challenge of surrounding ourselves with some of the biggest and best agencies in the industry. It gives our team access to new connections, new talent and a really exciting space where we can innovate and grow.
“For me, it’s about creating an environment where our people can develop, where we can attract exceptional talent from across the region and where our clients benefit from the depth of expertise and connections we’re building around them.”

Alistair added: “We’ve already brought in three key senior team members so far this year, increasing our team to 23, and we’ll soon be taking on another five across paid social, SEO, strategy, digital PR and technical. They will have the opportunity to work in our offices in Hull and Leeds.
“We’re being very deliberate about the people we bring into Diony. We’re not simply looking to grow the headcount – we’re building a team of people with genuine expertise, experience and ambition who can add something to our clients and to each other.
“The calibre of the people we’re now working with, alongside the calibre of the brands we’re working with, means we’re creating something pretty special. The Leeds office is another step in that journey, giving our team access to a bigger creative community while allowing us to keep our roots firmly in Hull.
“We want Diony to be an agency that people across the region know, want to work for and want to work with – and this expansion is a big part of making that happen.”
